Sunday, August 11th, 2013 the streets of Marda Loop will come alive with the magic of the Marda Gras Street Festival. Celebrating its 29th Anniversary, 35,000 visitors will enjoy the culture and cuisine of New Orleans and free entertainment for kids of all ages! From 10:00am until 5:00pm, this one-day free public event takes place in the Marda Loop neighbourhood in Calgary, Alberta. The Festival includes music, street level acts, cultural performers and about 200 vendors, including a variety of food vendors. This is a family event for everyone to enjoy! We hope you join us!
What is provided when I rent a space?
A10ft x 10ft space (You may bring a 10ft x 10ft tent to cover your table but it may not go out onto the roadway more than 10ft)*
One Banquet Table**
One Satin 90" x 120" Satin Tablecloth in Green, Gold, or Purple**
* A larger space will be provided to Food Trucks. A smaller space will be provided to Buskers.
** Not provided to Buskers or Food Trucks.
Buskers (Performance Only) $10.00 If you'd like to perform for the visitors of Marda Gras, we'd love to have you.
Buskers (Retail) $25.00 If you'd like to perform and sell products or services, this is the category for you.
Non-Profit Organization: $250.00 If your organization does good work for the people in this city, we want to have you participate in our festival! Proof of non-profit/charitable status is required.
Home Based Business: $275.00 Any business without a retail location. Whether you are an Artisan, small business, or are a consultant, this is the category for you.
Other Businesses: $425.00 Any business with a retail location.
Food Vendor: $475.00 Any merchant who will be selling food at a table. Please note that you will need to fill out an AHS Food Vendor Form as well.
Food Truck: $650.00 Any merchant who will be selling food from their own self-contained vehicle. Please note that you will need to fill out an AHS Food Vendor Form as well.
BRZ Merchants: $125.00 Any Marda Loop BRZ merchant.
